3 Night Deluxe Package

The tour will begin upon your arrival at the hotel. Please note the check-in time listed for the Marriott Waterside Hotel in this email. You are responsible for your own transportation to the hotel. For information regarding ground transportation options at Tampa International Airport (TPA), please visit www.tampaairport.com/ground-transportation.

Upon hotel arrival please check-in at the NAA and Sports & Entertainment Travel Hospitality Desk located in the main lobby. Should you arrive after the Hospitality Desk hours, proceed to the front desk to check-in.

If you arrive prior to hotel check-in time, your room may not be ready. You may, however, check your bags with the bell staff until your room becomes available.

The NAA and Sports & Entertainment Travel Hospitality Desk will be located inside the main lobby at the Marriott Waterside Hotel. It will be staffed during your stay to provide assistance. Hours below.

Wednesday, December 30

12:00 pm – 7:00 pm

The NAA and Sports & Entertainment Travel Hospitality Desk will be staffed in the lobby of the Marriott Waterside. 

5:45 pm – 7:15 pm

Northwestern Alumni Association Welcome Reception at the Tampa Bay History Center, located one block from the Marriott Waterside hotel at 801 Old Water Street. The History Center’s museum galleries will open at the end of the reception for our tour guests to enjoy from 6:45 pm – 7:30 pm.

Tour credentials must be presented for admission.
Thursday, December 31

9:00 am – 4:00 pm

The NAA and Sports & Entertainment Travel Hospitality Desk will be staffed in the lobby of the Marriott Waterside to answer any questions or assist with directions.

4:30 pm

Motor coach transportation departs the Marriott Waterside to the New Year’s Eve Parade and Pep Rally.

5:30 pm

Outback Bowl New Year’s Eve Parade and Pep Rally.

The last motor coach will return to the Marriott Waterside 30 minutes after the conclusion of the parade and short pep rally.
Friday, January 1 – HAPPY NEW YEAR!

8:30 am

Motor coach transportation departs from the Marriott Waterside. Motor coaches will begin loading at 8:15 am.

9:00 am

N Zone Tailgate at Hillsborough Community College soccer field.

The N Zone tailgate includes: a pregame buffet, beverages including beer and wine, face painting, and door prize drawings to win signed items by Head Football Coach Pat Fitzgerald. Be sure to arrive on time to enjoy entertainment by the Wildcat Marching Band, cheerleaders, and Willie the Wildcat and to hear remarks by President Morty Schapiro and Northwestern Vice President for Athletics and Recreation Jim Phillips.

11:30 am

Outback Bowl Pregame activities at Raymond James Stadium.

12:00 pm

30th Outback Bowl Game Kickoff at Raymond James Stadium
